SOLIDARITY AT THE CORE: EptaGIVES, THE NEW BUSINESS VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME, IS COMMITTED TO THE COMMON GOOD AND THE SPREAD OF EPTA VALUES

On International Volunteer Day, Epta presents the new business volunteer programme EptaGIVES with the goal of promoting and stimulating the involvement of its employees in actions of active citizenship to benefit the local communities.

The power of collective action is at the heart of this worldwide recurrence which, established by the UN General Assembly and celebrated every 5 December, adopts the slogan “If everyone did” in its thirty-eighth edition to show how much civic commitment, if universally spread, can be an enormous resource to tackle the complex social, economic and environmental challenges of today.

EPTA INTRODUCES BUSINESS VOLUNTEER WORK: A SMALL GESTURE, WITH A BIG IMPACT

From 2024, Epta will introduce the possibility for all EptaPeople to dedicate up to a maximum of 8 working hours to volunteer activities.

The new EptaGIVES business volunteer programme has a two-fold purpose: on one side, foster initiatives to achieve the United Nations Development Goals  and, on the other, achieve 4 hours of volunteer work per year for each employee within the next three years, as indicated in Epta’s ESG Strategic Plan 2024 – 2027.

This initiative represents a unique opportunity for all EptaPeople to strengthen internal connections, actively contributing to the wellness of the local communities they belong to.

VOLUNTEER WORK AS TOOL FOR SOLIDARITY AND PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

Volunteer work for Epta employees is not only a tool for social solidarity, but also a great opportunity of personal and professional growth, fostering the dynamics of teamwork and, at the same time, the development of greater empathy towards others.

Consequently, with the EptaGIVES initiative, Epta has wanted to share its values of integrity and ethics with the community in which it operates, highlighting how even the smallest gestures can create a meaningful impact in promoting social solidarity and cultural growth.
