UNIT receives the Green SMART Label

Epta proudly announces that UNIT from Iarp, the refrigerated counter designed and industrialised according to circular economy principles, has been awarded the Green Smart Label 2025 — a prestigious recognition within the Smart Label | Host Innovation Award, promoted by HostMilano and Fiera Milano, in collaboration with POLI.design and under the patronage of ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale.

The Smart Label award celebrates the most innovative and sustainable products and services in the Hospitality, Restaurant, and Catering (Ho.Re.Ca.) Sectors. Sector, highlighting excellence in efficiency, originality, and environmental responsibility. This year’s edition saw 107 applications from companies worldwide, with projects evaluated for their functionality, technological innovation, user benefits, and contribution to sustainability.

UNIT stood out in the Green Smart Label category for its commitment to circular design, based on the principle of the 4Rs (Reuse, Repair, Recondition, Recycle. On the other hand, for being up to 80% recyclable at end of life, the product is not just constructed but designed with sustainability in mind. This way, the product embodies Epta’s long-term strategy of integrating innovation and sustainability to drive the ecological transition in the Food & Beverage sector, combining technological design with sustainability.

The award ceremony took place on October 17th, 2025, within the Smart Label area (Pavilion 4 – Stand S23) at HOSTMilano. During the event, the winners received an official plaque in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

Epta’s success with UNIT reinforces Epta’s dedication to developing solutions that go beyond innovation, fostering a more sustainable and efficient future for refrigeration. This aspiration has also been recognised by other institutes, awarding UNIT with the German Design Award and ADI Index.
