Sustainability Highlights 2025: Epta continues creating shared value through conscious innovation
Sustainability isn't something Epta treats as a standalone programme. It is part of the way we design products, support customers and make business decisions every day.
The Sustainability Highlights 2025 bring together the progress achieved across environmental performance, innovation, people development and governance, reflecting our commitment to creating long-term value for customers, employees and the communities in which we operate.
Driving environmental progress
Improving the environmental performance of our operations remains a key priority for Epta.
In 2025, self-generated electricity from photovoltaic systems increased by 44%, while more than 96% of production waste was recycled. These actions contributed to a 21% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂ emissions compared with 2024.
To support our long-term decarbonisation journey, Epta also submitted its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing a structured approach to reducing emissions in line with internationally recognised climate goals.
Helping customers reduce their environmental impact
Alongside improving our own environmental performance, we continue developing refrigeration technologies that help retailers reduce energy consumption and embrace more sustainable solutions.
One example is Zenith, the new vertical cabinet range by Costan and Bonnet Névé. Designed to combine the product visibility of an open cabinet with the efficiency of a closed one, Zenith delivers best-in-class energy performance while preserving merchandising excellence. The Advance+ model achieves energy savings of up to 36% compared with the previous generation, helping retailers improve efficiency without compromising product presentation.
Innovation also extends to materials. Alba, Iarp's new range of negative-temperature cabinets, incorporates plastics containing up to 40% recycled content, partly recovered from production waste. Despite offering increased storage capacity, the range maintains the same footprint and energy class, demonstrating how circular design can go hand in hand with performance.
Circular economy principles are equally reflected in UNIT, Iarp's plug-in refrigerated counter for Food & Beverage applications. Developed with recyclability in mind from the earliest design stages, UNIT is up to 80% recyclable at the end of its life, supporting a more responsible approach to product development throughout the entire lifecycle.
Together, these innovations demonstrate how Epta combines energy efficiency, natural refrigerants, sustainable materials and eco-design to support more sustainable retail environments.
Investing in people
Behind every innovation at Epta are the people who design, manufacture, install and service our refrigeration solutions.
In 2025, the Group delivered more than 100,000 hours of training, continuing to strengthen technical, leadership and digital capabilities across its global workforce. Alongside the ongoing development of EPTAcademy, Epta also launched the Epta Service Academy, supporting the professional growth of refrigeration technicians and service specialists worldwide.
The Group also continued expanding its Diversity & Inclusion initiatives through programmes dedicated to multiculturalism, gender diversity and generational diversity, helping create an increasingly inclusive workplace.
Beyond the workplace, EptaGIVES brought colleagues together across 27 countries, contributing more than 14,000 volunteer hours to support local communities.
Responsible collaboration with our stakeholders
Strong collaboration with our stakeholders is essential to building a resilient business.
Throughout 2025, Epta further strengthened its Sustainable Procurement programme by enhancing ESG due diligence across the supply chain through continuous monitoring, digital tools and closer collaboration with suppliers. The Group also continued working with institutions and industry associations to contribute to the development of future regulations supporting the sustainable transformation of the refrigeration sector.
These initiatives help reinforce transparency, strengthen resilience and encourage higher sustainability standards across the value chain.
The Sustainability Highlights 2025 show how Epta continues turning its sustainability commitments into measurable actions. From reducing emissions and developing more efficient refrigeration technologies to investing in people and strengthening governance, each step contributes to creating lasting value for customers and society.
At Epta, progress is built through conscious innovation, continuous improvement and collaboration. Because Good Never Stops.
