Epta’s Science-Based Targets Officially Validated by SBTi

sbti news

We are proud to announce that Epta’s science-based emissions reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), one of the world's leading organizations supporting corporate climate action.

This validation confirms that Epta’s targets are aligned with the latest climate science, reinforcing the credibility of our decarbonization strategy and our long-term commitment to building a more sustainable future.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) independently assesses and validates corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets, ensuring that they meet rigorous scientific criteria and contribute meaningfully to limiting global warming. Achieving this validation represents an important step in Epta’s sustainability journey and demonstrates our determination to translate ambition into measurable action.

Using 2024 as the baseline year, Epta has established science-based targets covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, addressing both our direct operations and the broader value chain. These commitments include ambitious near-term objectives as well as a long-term pathway to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050.

By obtaining SBTi validation, Epta joins a growing community of organizations that are taking concrete, science-driven action to tackle climate change, while creating long-term value for customers, employees, partners and the communities in which they operate.

Epta’s validated targets

Near-Term Targets (2035)

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 63% from a 2024 baseline.

  • Reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions by 66,33% per EUR value added over the same period.

Long-Term Targets (2050)

Epta commits to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 90% from a 2024 baseline.

  • Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90%.

This achievement marks another significant step forward in Epta’s sustainability roadmap and strengthens our commitment to driving the transition towards a low-carbon future through innovation, efficiency and responsible business growth.
