Sede Epta Cile

Epta has officially inaugurated its new headquarters in Santiago de Chile, opening premises that are about more than just expansion; it is also a strategic move designed to promote the transition to a more natural form of commercial refrigeration in Latin America.

According to the latest edition of the ATMOSPHERE report, entitled 'Natural Refrigerants. State of the Industry’, natural refrigerants are gradually gaining ground in the LATAM region, with development dynamics that varydepending on the characteristics of the individual markets, and regulations in each country.

Uptake of transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems in South American retail is on the rise, with at least 580 installations in place by the end of 2024. There are more than 8 million plug-in units in stores currently running on hydrocarbons, chief amongst which is propane. These figures underline the increasing interest amongst Latin American store managers for high-performing, sustainable technologies. They also highlight the considerable room for growth in the next 5 years, which Epta is ready to maximise by strengthening its foothold in the region.

AN OPENING THAT REPRESENTS SUSTAINABILITY AND CUSTOMER PROXIMITY

The recent opening of Epta's new headquarters in the Chilean capital reinforces the Group's standing on the South American market, guaranteeing greater proximity to its customers, to whom the Group has always provided a comprehensive and tailored range of solutions adapted to local environmental conditions and specific needs of stores.

Thanks to turn-key projects that combine high performance with maximum energy savings, the Group has also carved out a name for itself in Latin America as a Fully Integrated Provider which retailers turn to in order to boost profitability.

The architecture of the new premises, located at the foot of the Andes, has also been designed with sustainability in mind, in keeping with Epta strategies to reduce the ecological footprint of its production plants. Epta's emphasis on efficiency and occupational well-being also translates into modern, functional working environments, with large meeting rooms, workstations equipped with cutting-edge technology and shared spaces designed to foster collaboration and employee comfort.

"Epta is grateful to all those who have helped achieve this important milestone, demonstrating confidence in the company and its growth path," says Juan Pablo VacA, General Manager of Epta LATAM, who concludes, "With the inauguration of the new headquarters, Epta can look to the future with determination, confirming its position as a Green Transition Enablercharting the course of change, while creating value and new opportunities for the commercial refrigeration segment in the region as a whole.”
