EPTA SUPPORTS THE MORE VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES WITH THE “RAHTIONS AGAINST HUNGER” PROGRAMME BY RISE AGAINST HUNGER ITALY

Epta renews its participation in the “Rahtions against Hunger Italy” programme with which the Group has collaborated for several years on numerous solidarity initiatives, to support the more vulnerable communities around the world who are living serious humanitarian crises.

The Organisation, part of a global network, has been promoting concrete actions to eradicate poverty for more than a decade, not only in terms of food, but also through the distribution of basic necessities and supporting schooling and empowerment plans of single individuals, actively involving civil society in a concrete and collective solidarity.

The commitment of Rise Against Hunger Italy in shaping a better future is reflected in two types of activity: Meal and Kit packing. The first lies in the packing of meals based on rice, lentils, soy, and vitamins which are purchased thanks to donations; they are then packed and boxed by the volunteers, for a total of 216 kits, and shipped to the destination. Once the Sub-Saharan African countries have been reached, the kits are distributed at the schools and prepared with boiling water, arriving on children’s desks, stimulating families, and allowing for regular school attendance.

The second is the response of RAH to humanitarian emergencies, where each food kit, designed to satisfy a person’s primary needs for a 2-week period, goes beyond the mere support, giving relief to populations forced to live dramatic situations of hardship.

INSIEME SI PUO’ FARE: TEAM BUILDING AT THE SERVICE OF THE FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER

Supporter of change, in constructive collaboration with Rise Against Hunger Italia, Epta organises highly ethical moments of sharing for its collaborators, according to the claim Insieme si può fare and with a view to Team Building, Integration Working and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The selected formula involves the packaging by EptaPeople of foods previously purchased by the Group, with the intent of strengthening the motivation to achieve common goals through teamwork. A project of solidarity which gives participants immediate gratification and satisfies the SDGS goals based on Epta’s ESG strategies.

Each event bears witness to how these are aimed at the creation of a shared value in the medium and long term, able to generate a real and measurable impact on the more fragile communities.

Epta adds solidarity initiatives to every Team Building event, at all levels, and recognises the value of active citizenship with the recent introduction of the corporate volunteering programme EptaGIVES which allows all EptaPeople to dedicate some annual working hours to voluntary activities.

Finally, within the scope of the “Rahtions against hunger” project, Epta distinguished itself in 2023 for the donation of meals and food kits to the Ukrainian refugees welcomed by Poland and Romania.
