Epta promotes the right to work for people with disabilities and participates with

Epta France in the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities 2022.

The aim is to encourage jobs for people with disabilities in companies, because promoting equality means guaranteeing everyone the same possibilities and facilitating their integration.

3 December: International Day of People with Disabilities

3 December is the International Day of People with Disabilities, established in 1992 by the United Nations to show support for the disabled and their families and carers.

The following year, in 1993, the European Commission decided to dedicate the same date to European Disability.

The goal is to ensure that all citizens can deepen their knowledge and skills on the matter as well as give assistance to people with disabilities in their everyday life.

It comes down to equalling differences and ensuring all individuals the same participation in political, social, educational, cultural life and – lastly but of no less importance – employment.

Almost 29% of people with disabilities in Europe live in poverty: it is difficult for them to find a job and work. For this reason, participating in initiatives to encourage and improve their job placement is essential for each company who can truly call itself inclusive.

Inclusive companies and jobs for people with disabilities

And as the day gets closer, from 14 to 20 November, Epta France joins in the Disability Week and commits to offering people with disabilities a dignified professional life.

Specifically, the company facilitates accessibility to the workspace and provides different equipment and accessories to support this.

But not only. The Group involves all #EptaPeople in seminars and activities geared to:

- Encouraging and supporting the exchange of information among the employees and the human resources department on issues connected with disability or health

- Continuing to support employees with disabilities and guaranteeing them a quality of life at work

- Promoting the recruitment of people with disabilities and accompanying them during the work placement phase.

Epta is fully aware that unity is strength, and it is only in this way that it is truly possible to achieve important milestones. This is what being a Group is all about.
