Epta is partner, with its Iarp brand - specialised in the storage and display of ice-cream – of the second edition of the Trophées de la Glace contest promoted by La Compagnie des Desserts. A contest which ended on 23 March, eve of Ice-cream Day, dedicated to the most talented professionals in the ice-cream world.
A challenge to the last taste
One trophy, 5 finalists: a challenge to the last taste which saw the contestants exhibit themselves in the production of a bowl of ice-cream and a spoon dessert themed “The Great Classics 2.0”, proposed to join history and tradition with modernity.
To select the best creation, a jury of excellence, composed by starred chefs Pierre Hermé, “king of the macarons” and current holder of the title Best Pastry chef in the World for World Pastry Stars 2021, together with Philippe Urraca, among the most important master pastry chefs of France, ready to assess the respect for theme, presentation and taste.
Iarp enhances creativity
An opportunity to enhance the creativity in working ice-cream, during which Epta supports the participants with its refrigerated cabinets branded Iarp, to ensure perfect storage of their glacées recipes. With its expertise, the brand proposes a wide range of customisable solutions, designed to maintain the tastes and textures of the products, ensuring a great scenic impact. A selection which features the furnishings of the Cool Emotions family, ideal for offering maximum visibility of sub-zero delicacies, making them irresistible.
“It has been a pleasure to note the high degree of professionalism of the new generation of chefs, thanks to which the level of competition has been very high this year. Through their works of culinary art, the contestants have confirmed their role of expert operators in the sector. This talent deserves to be enhanced through cutting-edge refrigeration technologies such as those of Iarp.” Comments Cécile Marty, Trade Marketing Manager of Epta France.
