EPTA OPENS NEW TRAINING CENTER IN THE MIDDLE EAST: FIRST F-GAS TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATIONS ISSUED

Epta has inaugurated a new Training Center in the Middle East, investing in the qualified training of technicians and engineers operating in a region that is both rapidly developing and strategically important for the Group.
This new training hub marks a major milestone for Epta, achieved with the endorsement of Centro Studi Galileo and Eurovent Middle East. During the 2024 edition of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Congress in Dubai, Eurovent Middle East issued the first eleven certifications to Epta ME professionals for the handling of fluorinated greenhouse gases.
As the first company to adopt the training program of the HVACR Leadership Academy, Epta hosted a three-day intensive course focused on the proper handling of HVAC&R equipment containing HFCs.
F-GAS COMPLIANCE: FOR EPTA, LEARNING IS LIFELONG
In alignment with the new Lifelong Learning paradigm, Epta supports not only the strengthening of its technicians' existing expertise but also the continuous development of new skills, which are evolving in response to the latest international regulations.
The training programs offered meet the requirements of F-Gas compliance, as set by the New European Regulation, which calls for the short-term phase-down of HCFCs and HFCs. These initiatives enable Epta technicians to learn best practices for installing and servicing systems—such as maintenance, repair, recovery, leak detection, and decommissioning of RAC systems containing fluorinated gases.
“Qualifying HVAC&R professionals in the region will not only significantly contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also drive more energy-efficient system management and lower maintenance costs,” emphasizes Andrea Cavalet, General Manager of Epta Middle East. He adds: “Epta has always recognized continuous upskilling of its EptaPeople as a key pillar in achieving impactful results. This reflects the Group’s strategic approach to fostering a culture of excellence and responsibility—toward the environment, but also toward the economic sustainability of the entire sector.”
