100th transcritical CO₂ installation in Latin America

Epta Latam celebrates the 100th installation of a transcritical CO₂ system in Latin America: a journey begun in 2014 with the store of a leading Chain of the Large-scale retail sector in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the last decade, the Epta Group, spokesperson of continuous innovation, has contributed to the ecological transition of Retailers with the development of cutting-edge technologies respectful of the environment such as ETE, FTE and XTE.

FTE, ETE and XTE, guarantees uncompromising efficiency

FTE, ETE and XTE are the tangible representation of the Epta mindset, as Green Transition Enabler. A revolution which came to life in 2017 with the introduction of FTE (Full Transcritical Efficiency), able to increase energy efficiency, in medium and low temperature applications, by 10% compared to standard transcritical systems. In 2020, the technological offer further evolved with ETE (Extreme Temperature Efficiency) guarantee of a greater reliability in hot climates, without temperature limits.

Finally, for EXTRA performance, 2023 saw the launch of the innovative XTE (Extra Transcritical Efficiency), patent-pending, equipped with PX G1300™ energy recovery device signed Energy Recovery which further increases the benefits obtained with ETE not only in extreme conditions, but also in mild and cold climates, with temperatures between 20°C and 40°C. A technology which is tried and tested in the field thanks to which the stores are recording greater efficiency of more than 15% at 25°C and of 25% at more than 35°C.

“We are proud of this achievement, which represents a milestone of the years Epta Latam has dedicated to a more sustainable future in a region in which the transition to natural and energy efficient refrigeration is made possible thanks to the initiative of each single Chain.” declares Daniele Tolotti, Commercial Director of Epta Latam, who concludes “We will continue to work relentlessly to reduce the environmental impact of Retailers who are with us in this evolution and so that these innovative technologies become the standard to make the entire sector more sustainable”.
