EPTA INVESTS IN PROCESS DIGITISATION: NFC CONNECTIVITY FOR CONSTANT SUPERVISION OF OPERATIONS

The implementation of digital solutions makes workflows and the product cycle management fluid in every phase: from assembly, to handling, to sale and after-sales assistance, with clear operational and economic benefits.

REFRIGERATION IS SMARTER WITH NFC TECHNOLOGY

Epta makes refrigeration smarter thanks to the adoption of customisedNFC tags (Near Field Communication). They feature a unique and traceable identifier (UID) applied during the production phase to the metal frames of all models of the Group, thanks to a special shielding for electromagnetic interferences.

Reliable and sustainable, the tags with NFC chips are also coded with a traceable URL, to authenticate and display the productinformation in real time during its entire life by access to a cloudplatform. In terms of configuration, the tags feature a Data Matrix code on the rear, which is easy to read by existing scanning equipment and, on the front, the logo of the Group and brand of reference, reducing counterfeiting risks.

With this initiative, the Group will provide access to specific product information, supporting the development of the EU Digital Passport and facilitating the collection and processing of data, essential to define business strategies.
