Epta France signs an agreement with Cap Emploi

Epta France signs an agreement with Cap Emploi to further enhance the protected classes and facilitate the development of ad hoc courses, designed to promote their training and job placement.

The agreement, signed on Thursday 23 November in Hendaye, at the headquarters of Epta France, in the presence of press and key local institutions, confirms the mission of the Group to support fragile employees and the desire to proceed in this noble direction.

The collaboration with Cap Emploi, a network of associations which in the Hexagon take care of accompanying the disabled people in educational courses and placement in the widest occupational sectors, is vital.

This public service organisation has been battling for many years to eliminate all kinds of discrimination at work, verify compliance with the current legislation, according to the type of disability, on the adaptation and accessibility measures in all work contexts for a more equal and inclusive society.

EPTA JOINS THE TWENTY-SEVENTH EDITION OF THE EUROPEAN WEEK FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF DISABLED PEOPLE

Through this initiative, Epta joins the twenty-seventh edition of European Week for the Employment of Disabled People, which this year proposes a reflection on the consequences of digital transition in the employment world, with a focus on its possible effects on the protected classes.

This specific week is the opportunity to deepen the important issues in the public debate, which are at the centre of numerous meetings between companies, institutions, associations and civil society and to raise awareness among citizens.

AN IMPORTANT STEP TOWARDS EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND EQUALITY

The signing of this official document is an important step towards equal opportunities and equality, in line with the founding values of Epta.

The collaboration with Cap Emploi is simply the crowning achievement of a virtuous path which has seen Epta France involved for several years in practical actions, oriented towards improving the quality of life and working conditions for the more fragile people.

Epta France, in association with ASTPB - Association Santé au Travail du Pays Basque and Cap Emploi, has invested in adapting the machinery to produce the refrigerated cabinets, according to the more recent ergonomic studies, to reduce the loads and relieve the employees from excessive strain, limiting postural stress.

Enhancement of the protected classes, represented in tangible improvement interventions and geared to employees with disabilities, makes the French reality a case in point and a source of inspiration for all the other Companies of the Group.

The initiatives put in place by Epta France are a best practice, in line with the mainstays of the first Manifesto of Diversity&Inclusion, drawn up by the neo-committee D&I of Epta, which has the task of promoting cooperation between individuals and defining training courses against all kinds of discrimination.
