EPTA AT THE FOREFRONT ALONGSIDE UNEP - OZONACTION TO PROMOTE 100% SUSTAINABLE REFRIGERATION

Epta has confirmed its commitment as a Green Transition Enabler to promote the transition to fully sustainable commercial refrigeration by taking part in the 38th seminar of UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) OzonAction - the leading international authority on environmental protection - scheduled for 14 May at 11am. 

Organised in conjunction with Centro Studi Galileo, the online event is aimed at stakeholders from ECA(Europe and Central Asia) and CEIT nations (Countries with Economies in Transition), with the goal of inspiring them, informing them about the measurablebenefits of natural refrigeration, and fosteringnew strategic partnerships between institutions, companies and trade associations. 

As an industry leader, Epta was invited to present its range based entirely on natural refrigerants, which make for up to 4,000 times less environmental impact and a 20% increase in energy efficiency compared to HFC gases. 

THE CONSCIOUS INNOVATION OF EPTA: A VIRTUOUS MODEL 

Francesco Mastrapasqua, Epta's Institutional Affairs Manager, was among the seminar's guest speakers, with a speech highlighting how the role of multinationals can prove decisive in accelerating the transition towards a low-emission future. He outlined the story of Epta and its virtuous model of conscious innovation at the service of the planet.

After analysing the legislative framework of the various geographical areas concerned, Mastrapasqua illustrated how the most advancedtechnologies developed by the Group are redesigning the very concept of the cold chain in Retail: solutions that significantly reduce the carbon footprint and act as allies in tackling the threefold planetary emergency - climate change, pollution and loss of biodiversity - highlighted by UNEP.
