EPTA EXCELS IN ESG: GROUP IS AMONG 2025 SUSTAINABILITY LEADERS

For the fifth year running, Epta has been given the prestigious Sustainability Leaders award promoted by Il Sole 24 Ore (Italy's top economic and financial daily newspaper), and the independent German Statesman research institute, which rewards companies with registered offices in Italy that are particularly virtuous in the ESG sphere. 

As highlighted by the most recent European Private Sector SDGs Stocktake 2024 report drawn up by UN Global Compact, the Italian industrial fabric is in fact increasingly oriented towards the three dimensions of sustainability, with as many as 72% of the companies involved displaying awareness of incorporating ESG goals into their strategies. 

Against this backdrop, Epta rightfully belongs in the ranking drawn up following careful analysis of multiple Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with regard to the modular system of GRI interconnected reporting standards, thanks to its outstanding commitment to employees, the environment and communities, with verified performance that has helped foster a respectful and sustainable economy. 

 

ESG IN EPTA: A strategic lever for sustainable growth

The award confirms the Group’s path to achieving a complete ecological, ethical, social and governance transition, which has yielded tangible results such as the increase in the percentage of recycled waste, now at 95.2%. An achievement that is the result of major investments in R&D of 100% available solutions with natural refrigerants, worth EUR 27.7 million in 2024 alone. 

ESG criteria have long underpinned Epta's successful entrepreneurial formula, and are imposed as a strategic lever for generating shared and sustainable value in the short and long term; challenging targets have been set in the Strategic Plan, including a 57% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2028. 

As a Green Transition Enabler, Epta proudly continues in this direction, determined to lead the sustainable transformation of the industry, in the service of a more responsible and competitive future.
