EPTA CONFIRMS ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH PERIFEM DAY 2024, FOR A RESPONSIBLE ECOSYSTEM

Epta France confirms its partnership with the 2024 edition of Perifem Day, an event organised by the French association of technical manufacturers in Retail geared to the suppliers and to the key players of the Large-Scale retail sector, food and specialised, with the goal of making the commercial ecosystem more responsible.

With the motto “La Distribution s’engage tourjours plus en 2024!” / “The retail sector is even more committed in 2024”, this year the Paris event on 20 March involved more than 450 participants and 10 CEOs of renowned supermarket retail chains such as Carrefour, E.Leclerc, Auchan and Ikea, proving to be an unrivalled exchange and networking opportunity between the French distributors and their technological and institutional partners.

The numerous lectures and eight round tables which characterised the kermesse were centred on the most recent challenges, the legislation and the new solutions proposed by the sector, with a focus on the themes of environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, safety and technological innovation.

UNIT AND XTE: THE NEW FRONTIER IN COMMERCIAL REFRIGERATION

In this prestigious setting, Epta had the opportunity to present its approach directed at Sustainable Innovation, represented in its most innovative technologies, UNIT and XTE, namely the new frontier in commercial refrigeration.

In detail, UNIT, the first plug-in refrigerated cabinet designed according to the principles of the circular economy, is the response elaborated by Epta for the sustainable refrigeration of the future. End-of-life friendly and 95% recyclable, the model has innovative characteristics, without using refrigerants. Formed by simple, resistant and easily replaced components, to facilitate maintenance and cleaning, this solution is a turning point in terms of adhesion to the principles of the 4Rs: Reuse, Repair, Recondition and Recycle.

Interested in the potential of the cutting-edge technology by Epta, the experts and the Retailers present at Perifem Day were able to discover all the advantages of XTE (Extra Transcritical Efficiency), a system able to upgrade the transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems, making them high performing in any environmental condition, and all year.

In this way, XTE not only reduces the consumption peaks during the hot months, guaranteeing more than 30% energy saving above +40°C compared to a traditional transcritical system, but allows a significant benefit even during the cold months, where the XTE system starts operating from +10°C.
