EPTA AND SIRAP TOGETHER AT SEEDS & CHIPS, TO PROMOTE HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD

Epta and Sirap – one of the most qualified producers of containers for fresh food in Europe – are renewing their collaboration and participating in the 5th Italian edition of Seeds & Chips, The Global Food Innovation Summit to present a project aimed at promoting a healthy, balanced and sustainable diet.
The event, which is scheduled from 6 to 9 May in Milan in conjunction with TUTTOFOOD, takes up the legacy of Expo 2015 and is proposed as a privileged stage for an international encounter on themes such as food security, food safety and the struggle against food waste, and to reflect on the future of the agri-food system. These are the main themes that will stimulate the debate and will see the involvement of authoritative representatives from around the world. The keynote speakers include the actor Alec Baldwin, who is actively involved in campaigns in favour of the environment, Kerry Kennedy President of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, José Graziano da Silva Director General of the FAO and SAR Principessa Viktoria de Bourbon de Parme, supporter of young farmers in developing countries.
In the Forum, Epta and Sirap will propose a speech by Victor Lopes Mascarenhas, Product Innovation Manager of Sirap Group, who will address those present on Wednesday 8 May with a contribution dedicated to the centrality of innovation and research as fundamental levers for the development of sustainable solutions that contribute towards improving food quality, taking the new system that arose from the collaboration between Epta and Sirap as an example.
The combination of reducing the carbon footprint and conscious nutrition will be the fil-rouge within the exhibition section, which will see the spotlights trained on the London Meal vending machine from the Iarp City Collection. This solution has been especially studied by Epta and Sirap to offer customers of shopping centres and users of public facilities, hospitals and common areas a balanced, tasty meal, complete with the beverage of their choice. The strong point of the new distributor is the maximum attention paid to the environment, thanks to the choice of propane - a natural, low-impact refrigerant - and Sirap Meal8 packaging, which consists of different modules to optimise expiry dates according to the type of food, and hence reduce food waste.
Seeds & Chips will also feature other leading Iarp brand solutions, such as the New York Chef vending machine from the Iarp City Collection designed to promote the sale of single-portion frozen ready meals, from soups to baked pasta, to be eaten during lunch breaks. Lastly, the plug-in semi-vertical Joy open for beverages from the Iarp Cool Emotions range, which combines high-tech aesthetics characterised by square shapes and special LED lighting on the outer profiles with the extreme customisation guaranteed by innovative digital printing directly onto the sheet metal, a distinguishing feature of all Iarp solutions.
