Epta participates with its countertop refrigerator Velvet branded Costan, at the 2022 edition of Compasso d’Oro ADI, the oldest and most authoritative award in Italian industrial design.

Launched in 1954, by an idea of the architect and designer Gio Ponti, the award is dedicated to that design and entrepreneurial excellence able to tell the value and quality of Made in Italy.

Products and services pre-selected by the permanent Observatory of ADI Design are in competition.

Development, sustainability and responsibility are the backbones of Compasso d’Oro 2022

The novelty introduced this year, for the first time in the history of the award, is the key to interpretation “Development – Sustainability – Responsibility”. This theme has the goal of stimulating processes of conception, production, distribution and communication.

Everything, with a view to an increasingly greener future and attentive to environmental and social issues.

Velvet, the counter fridge branded Costan green and design

In this sense, the Velvet traditional counter fridge of the OutFit family is totally in line with the new concept of the award.

This solution is synonymous with design and technology while respecting the environment. It also embodies the commitment of Epta in favour of a responsible use of resources and its ongoing attention to sustainable innovation

The use of CO2 as natural refrigerant, LED lighting and the high efficiency fans make Velvet the ideal ally for retailers.

The serve-over counter also facilitates the operators and customers thanks to the display area, with the correctly sized height and depth, focused on maximum ergonomics.

Velvet is the traditional highly customisable counter fridge for perfect visibility of the foods displayed

The Velvet display refrigerator combines function and aesthetics.

Perfect visibility of fresh and ultra-fresh products is ensured by open and closed corners, by superstructures and windows. Finally, one of its distinctive features is the customisation of the front, with colours and finishes of more than 480 possible combinations.

The Velvet horizontal counter fridge is on show in Milan from 21 June to 11 September 2022 at the ADI Museum.

Our thanks to the R&D team, Marketing and Industrialisation, the designers Giorgio De Ponti of Epta, Patrizio Cionfoli and Marco Binaghi of Studio Volpi for their contribution and collaboration.
